Hello,

In the bootom left of emacs; it is written the name of the file
corresponding to the file we are actually visiting. I wonder if it is
possible to have to full path displayed instead of just the base file name.

Olive

I wouldn't do that! A full path name could become quite long. It's
easier to type C-x C-b, list-buffers, and check there the file's full
path name.

I don't have that variable, neither in 22.0.50 nor 21.3.2. Where is it
defined?

You may have to (require 'uniquify) first.
IIRC It's been there since Emacs-20.

Indeed, thanks. However, uniquify.el dates from the days of Emacs 17!
15 May 1986, according to the change log. =)
