I once met RMS selling pins with the GNU logo
and URL for 1 euro a piece.
I asked, joiningly, if you buy one, are you
then a true follower? He said, nah, it is more
a way of helping.
What I really was thinking was, hey, this is
like Chairman Mao selling Che Guevara T-shirts
at a May 1st demo! Cool! ... ?
I still have the pin in my bookshelf.
Every time there is a huge hacker gathering
with techno-science pouring out of the
refrigerator, I never wear that pin.
Because there are no such meetings.
