OK... so what is the name of the French industrial standard? NF? Sweden may have SIS in theory, and perhaps in practice (somewhere), but if you open the catalog from the hardware store, which is completely in Swedish by the way, and look up an M5 A4 hex lock nut, it says DIN 985.
