Is there a package that has a similar functionality as bibshelf

all sorts of single-table-database functionality can be wrangled
into and out of EDB:

  http://www.glug.org/people/ttn/software/edb/

bug reports welcome (check NEWS and ChangeLog first).

Looks pretty much what I want. Just a rookie question:

What's the difference between bbdb and edb?
