I'm using Emacs 21.4a and each time I open an existing file :: gets
inserted at the beginning. Where might this bug have slipped in? Here
is my .emacs file:
(global-set-key "\M-g" 'goto-line)
(add-hook 'c++-mode-hook
'(lambda ()
(font-lock-mode)
(c-toggle-auto-state)
(c-scope-operator)
(show-paren-mode)))
Thanks,
Nick

This is a joke, right? I mean, there is not a single correct line in
that hook function. All minor modes should be called with 1 as argument
to switch the minor mode on (rather than toggle it). And what is the
deal with c-scope-operator?
C-h f c-scope-operator RET gives
c-scope-operator is an interactive compiled Lisp function in
`cc-cmds.el'.
(c-scope-operator)
Insert a double colon scope operator at point.
No indentation or other "electric" behavior is performed.
[back]
I mean, what did you _expect_ this call to do?
