You can edit wherever you like and then commit. You don't have to think about which is the master copy. Using the scp method means that you always have to be careful where you edit the config file (if you have more than 2 machines at least), and if you happen to edit it on two hosts at the same time, you're screwed. With cvs, no such problem. Just edit, and if you remember, do "cvs commit". If you don't remember today, tomorrow is early enough. -- A turnip curses Elvis
