Emacs Lisp Reference Manual

Can we have the Emacs Lisp Reference Manual enumerate the @menu items
so it would be easier to refer people to it.

The chapters and sections in the produced manual are already numbered.

BTW, one very convenient way to do that is to send them the result of
hitting C-u 0 w.

The menu is just a list of pointers with no real content.  Why would
you need to refer people to the menu rather than to the stuff it
points to?

_If_ there's a bug (and that's a big "if", IMNSHO), then the report
should go to the Texinfo developers, because Emacs just uses what
'makeinfo' produces.

If one is using a Web Browser, it is much quicker to find if
you say "See 10.4 Backquote".  You just scroll to 10, then to
four, rather than by a Brain Regexp.

So this is only relevant to the HTML output?  Because in Info you just
use the 'g' command, which prompts for the name of the node to go to.

Yes, just about the html code when one is using a browser.  In info it is easy
to do the search.  I informed the Gavin and Patrice, to see what can be done on
how texinfo processes the menu for html.
