I would like to have "first" be bold, but no luck with the following
example.

(let ((BOLD (propertize "first" 'font 'bold)))
(x-popup-menu t (list "choose either" (list "two numbers" (cons BOLD
"1st") (cons "second" 2)))))

Is it because popup menu is some external feature of x thus just skip text
properties or am I doing something wrong?

regards
