When I start speedbar on a file under version control, I see two icons
to the right of the files.

The first is a red check mark, likely indicating that the file is under
version control and current.

The second is not obvious and has issues. It looks like this, but is
the size of one character.

0101
1010
0101

1 - I suspect I'm missing some font or image.
2 - What is it trying to indicate. It marks most, but not all of the .c
files and none of the .h files.

Suggestions.

Sounds like etc/images/ezimage/bits.xpm. That's what speedbar uses,
AFAICS.

That's it! What is it trying to tell me?

One changed recently to bitsbang - binary with a yellow backslash.

Is there a manual that deciphers the images?
