of course it is, since what -Q does is disables a bunch of
settings and a splash screen LOL.
Can't hurt that much ... maybe one is supposed to use
emacs-nox if one don't use it from X anyway. Or perhaps there
are a bunch of things there you can use for other things?

It's a misnomer. The long name was renamed to --no-loadup in Emacs
24.5, and it is only meaningful with "bare Emacs", a.k.a. "temacs".
