Tabs are, in general, not portable from one person's editor/IDE to another's, because nobody can seem to agree on the primordial truth -- which is: TABS ARE EVERY 8 COLUMNS! If you want code formatting to be portable across editors, users, and IDEs, you need to turn tabs off. -jp
