Its 2015. You dont need to explain things like cursor-movement [do people read/need notepad or gedit tutorials?] unless its rather non-standard. Of course in 1975 it was different... But history is unlikely to be of interest to someone who needs an emacs-tutorial. [Disclaimer: Whether cursor-movement is technically part of the cua-specification... If so which version of cua?? etc I dont know ]
