if your screen(1) windows are open to different hosts, consider
connecting to them using ssh, modifying ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on those
hosts appropriately to allow noninteractive scp(1) operation, and then
(from emacs) using M-x shell-command-on-region specifing scp to read
from stdin. i think the package "tramp" does this (and more).
