Suddenly my Emacs with my own and other add-ons have started to
"sporadically" set the buffer-local value of default-directory to "/
home" and I have no clue where this occurs.

Is it possible to trace this actions somehow?

Do I need to instrument all the possible defs where the setting might
occur?

Thanks in advance,
Nordlöw

I found the bug. A long time ago I wrote a function that used cd() in
a very dumb way. It is gone now.

Still, could this search have been automated somehow?
