Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with running the emacs package on Solaris 8. I
installed the package from sunfreeware.com and it won't run. This is
the error I'm getting back:
ld.so.1: emacs: fatal: libungif.so.4: open failed: No such file or
directory
killed

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Robert Pollard

it's likely your system has not the libungif library installed.

you can install it or compile emacs from sources (if you compile from
sources libungif will not be needed).
