Hi all,

I am trying to find out if the find-file function can be used to select
a directory. Just calling find-file seems to require regular file
selection only. I have not been able to find anything in the emacs lisp
reference manual regarding this. Also, google has not been very helpful:-)

Furthermore, I would like to know if there is an elisp function that
generates a list of all subdirectories, given a starting directory. I
could roll my own, but then again, maybe something exists already.

   Matthias
