In the ill windows:

C-d (translated from <delete>) runs the command c-electric-delete-forward
C-d (translated from <delete>) runs the command c-electric-delete-forward

And in the good windows:
C-d (translated from <delete>) runs the command c-electric-delete-forward

And, yes, I forgot to tell the emacs version before asking. Here it is:
