Dear Emacs wizards,
Firs I'll say I am quite ignorant to Lisp programming. I wonder if
anybody has a piece of code that I can insert in my .emacs file to
force the buffer-list to show up in the current frame when I invoke it
with the C-x C-b.
Currently, the frame splits and the buffer-list shows up in the other
frame :(

You can customize this via the variable `same-buffer-window-names'.

OK. What is the correct Lisp sintax in order to include `buffer-list'
in `same-buffer-windows-names' list ? My current .emacs file does not
contain the `same-buffer-windows-names' entry, and I couldn't find
a .emacs template in the web.

It's same-window-buffer-names and it should offer customisation.

Yes, emacs offers a customization menu for same-buffer-windows-names.
I entered "buffer-list" in the text field and tried to "save for
future sessions". However, I got the message "Symbol's value as
variable is void: buffer-list". What am I doing wrong?

(add-to-list 'same-window-buffer-names "*Buffer List*")

Thanks, Bernardo, that was the 'holy-grail-line' I was "*looking
for*".
Now that I know a micron of Lisp it doesn't look as the language with
the most horrible syntax I've ever seen before :)
