My question remains: > How can I connect via telnet/ftp to a remote server via Emacs? telnet is a somewhat difficult beast under Windows have a look at http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/windows/faq8.html i can confirm that jtelnet works, although it doesn't seem to be maintained (and once up and running it seems to use a lot of CPU cycles)
