I have a number of defvar variables storing package paths and am wondering
whether it is permissible to include them inside a defun, so when I call
the function, they will be defined.
(defun mbcomplt-paths
"Set variables storing package paths."
(defvar mbcomplt-ftrk
(concat contrib-ftrk "/mbcomplt")
"Path to minibuffer completion frameworks.")
(defvar icvert-ftrk
(concat mbcomplt-ftrk "/icvert/")
"Path to icomplete vertical minibuffer completion.")
(defvar ivy-ftrk
(concat mbcomplt-ftrk "/ivy/")
"Path to ivy minibuffer completion.")
(defvar vertico-ftrk
(concat mbcomplt-ftrk "/vertico/vertico-0.28")
"Path to vertico minibuffer completion.")
(defvar helm-ftrk
(concat mbcomplt-ftrk "/helm/helm-A")
"Path for helm winibuffer completion.")
)
