I have tried using TRAMP to access remote files from a Linux system
and got this message from emacs:
Wrong method specification for `ssh'
I can't find any other debug info or messages or help on what this
means.
Oddly Dired works fine on directories on the remote system, so I know
TRAMP is logging in and accessing the filesystem correctly.
Anyone with clues?

RTFM. Compare what you try to use with the documented examples. And
then make a conclusion. And correction. Or two. It would be helpful
to see what you try to type, because I could recommend not to use
Greek input based on what I've read.
/ssh:<login name>@<IP name or address>:/some/directory
