Hello,

I am running Debian testing on a Pentium 3. After the last update (20.
Sept. 2003) I got the following problem with emacs20, emacs21, xemacs21 etc:
When I try and start a "make" by the emacs compile command, emacs beeps
opens the *compilation buffer*, writes "cd ~/workingdir <nl> make"
into it and
shows in the minibuffer the message "Searching Programm: Success,".
As far as I see nothing else is happening. Anybody any idea?

Cheers Szippy
