Hello,

Shell works fine but the color of the prompt string is white (same color as background) so it can't be seen (if i move the flashing black cursor backwards across the prompt I can see it). All other output is black and shows up with no problem.

Any ideas of how to correct this.

Thanks,

Andy ...

Position the cursor in the prompt, type C-u C-x = and then customise
from the *Help* buffer the comint-highlight-prompt face. Or start
with my eMail. The former works fine in GNU Emacs 22, the latter in
elder versions, too.

What's your Emacs version?
