Hello,
My ~/.emacs.d directory gets garbled up with session.* files. For example:
session.101087f793d012abd9125326646019015700000051880048
session.1014759f8eda98bf92125277486066743500000040050050
session.1022ab2d25df3269fd125363498746218600000040090053
session.102d1c0507ac374c89125355146763332900000066540046
...
there are about 20 of them. Deletion does not help, they creep back in.
Their sizes are all zero bytes... I I use desktop-save - misconfigured?
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Fabio

I don't actually know what component of emacs are generating these
files. I have some of these, too, and I don't use desktop-save.
However, what are you doing inside the .emacs.d directory? As I
understand it, this is a directory where emacs and emacs extensions
can put their files, not a directory where you should keep your
configuration or other elisp files. Move your stuff to .elisp,
.emacs-lisp.d, whatever, and be happy again. 8-)
HTH,
Anselm

There's no problem at all having your configuration (or other stuff)
in .emacs.d; in fact, you can rename your .emacs to .emacs.d/init.el
and it works fine.

I already use .emacs.d/init.el ...
I have no idea what causes the session.* files. I searched on the web, but
could not find anything
last resort: shell cleanup script...
