Hi,
When the variable ispell-skip-region-alist is set to nil, M-x
ispell-buffer results in the following message being displayed in the
echo area
Matching region end for ‘’ point 1 not found [28531 times]
This goes on until the command is aborted with C-g.
Emacs version 25.1.1.

Thanks, I fixed this on the master branch.
In the future, I suggest to report Emacs bugs using report-emacs-bug,
which will send email to the Emacs bug tracker and to the
corresponding mailing list.
