Hi,

I have the same problem as the one described here:

That thread is over four years old, so I wonder if it's been fixed, is
there any switch or something?  Googling and searching the docs did
not help.

I have

  GNU Emacs 22.1.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
  of 2007-08-22 on raven, modified by Debian
