Is there a command for .emacs to not
allow you to cursor down past the end
of file?

Bryan

Thanks, I was just about to implement your
command when I noticed that I couldn't get
cursor to move past end of file. It seems
like that ability is random and comes and goes.
Now it seems like I don't need this command.
Does any of this sound familiar or make sense
to you?

Chris

no, sorry - as soon as i threw "(setq next-line-add-newlines nil)" in the
dotemacs, it worked. i put it on the first line, actually. also, i
always byte-compile and load it too, so maybe that's a reason.

The same .emacs in RH7.2 and RH7.3 vers of Emacs
behave differently... I think the default has changed
in Emacs.
