Hello,
I've been using org-mode avidly for a few weeks, learning and being
converted (slowly) from M$ programs. My question is this : when I store a
link with C-L L , is there a way to retrieve previous stored links ?
I use C-L C-L and up-arrow but it only finds one previously stored link.
Otherwise org-mode works great for me. :-)

C-c C-l runs the command org-insert-link

This is `C-c C-l', not `C-L C-L'.

For link insertion, you can also go through the history with M-n and
M-p. Maybe try the latest version:

  http://orgmode.org/
  http://orgmode.org/org-5.11b.tar.gz

BTW, you should consider using `C-c l' instead of `C-L L' for storing
links.
