Is there a way to do something like

(eval-string "(+ 2 3)")

in my elisp code? Obviously, I want this expression to return 5.

(eval (read "(+ 2 3)"))  =>  5

Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time with the Emacs Lisp Reference
manual and the builtin documentation yesterday but I completeley
missed "read".
