When I hit this combination in emacs (M-x help k), it says: Describe key (or click or menu item): ESC C-j ..and it opens a buffer: C-M-j runs the command indent-new-comment-line which is an alias for `comment-indent-new-line' in `newcomment.el'. It is bound to M-j, C-M-j. So, somehow, emacs is interpreting M-S-RET as something else. Any pointers as to what I can try?. I'm using emacs-22.3.2 inside screen. -- Esben Stien is b0ef@e s a http://www. s t n m irc://irc. b - i . e/%23contact sip:b0ef@ e e jid:b0ef@ n n ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

There's no Shift-Return in terminals.
