Hello Stephen,

this commit is introducing in my test-bed the following three failures
in emacs-30: dabbrev-expand-test-other-buffer-4,
dabbrev-expand-test-other-buffer-3, dabbrev-expand-after-killing-buffer.
Could you please have a look?
