[...] Hi Alan, we could not change how `load-history' is filled as this would have introduced incompatibilities. One quick way is to C-h f a function defined in the file and if this is reported to be native compiled or not. Ex for c-mode I get: " c-mode is an interactive native compiled Lisp function in = = =E2=80=98cc-mode.el=E2=80=99. ..." Hope it helps, thanks Andrea
