Hi,

I wasn't thorough enough ;-), it isn't a new problem.

It already exists in

  GNU Emacs 22.1.50.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2007-08-18 on TPAD

where desktop doesn't depend on uniquify.
