GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.0.2195)
 of 2004-03-04 on WINSTEINGOLDLAP
--with-msvc (12.00)

because of some recent changes, w32 no longer builds :

image.c(7467) : error C2065: 'PATH_BITMAPS' : undeclared identifier

Jason fixed this a couple of days ago.

You need to rerun nt/configure.
