It is right to do so. Still, working with emacs code needs to be natural, with generic names always meaning the built-in default mode. The rest with precise names to know what one is using. This should be a minor thin= g, but is discussed as a major problem. There is a similar problem with Late= x-like modes --- there is too much confusion on what is being actually used. Reg= ardless of the name of the mode, emacs then opts for some other thing instead. Th= is problem has been there for a few years now.
