For specific tasks, one does not use emacs in its entirety. Although you'= re raising a valid point, couldn't the rest of emacs be added on top of that = ? Would make it easier for some other groups of 6 guys to understand it and = do something with it, without needing years of experience managing all of it. There would be some value in that.
