D'oh.  Again.  The reason this doesn't work for me is that I've only
tested it in the Gnus article buffer, which does mighty voodoo to
emulate commands from the summary buffer.  And that gets in the way of
`C-h b' on text properties.

Never mind...  nothing to see here...
