In this case I'm compiling Emacs 23 on a Qemu virtual ARM architecture machine, for the Openmoko Freerunner. The lisp compilation takes a long time on this emulator, so I was thinking of speeding up the compilation by moving as much as possible out of the emulator, on to the host machine. -- Joakim Verona
