OK; so somebody else (who has to be unaware that we can't use seq
functions in the central Lisp files) has to add something dependent on
seq a couple of times, and then it'll have to be rewritten by a
different maintainer a couple of times, and then it'll be OK.

As long as we have a plan.  :-)
