Subject: Delete C-M-delete and C-M-backspace
Date: 04 Jun 2003 18:49:36 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m3el29xxtr.fsf@loiso.podval.org> (raw)
rms on 2003-06-03 deleted the C-M-delete and C-M-backspace keybindings.
why?
OK, I know that C-M-BS kills the X server -- when you do not disable it.
(I do).
Esc C-BS is not an adequate replacement because it requires 2
keypresses (and I seem to recall that Esc and M were interchangeable, so
I am surprized that (define-key esc-map "foo" 'bar) is not the same as
(define-key global-map "M-foo" 'bar))
too bad...
