Subject: 23.0.60; bug in modify-syntax-entry after unicode2 merge
Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 13:38:29 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m33arzpt16.fsf@verona.se> (raw)

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I use the supercollider mode in emacs,
and it has the equivalent of the following code:

  (modify-syntax-entry ?\^ "." (make-syntax-table))

If you run this you will get the following error:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument characterp 67108896)

The code used to work before the unicode2 merge.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/local/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
