(MDI is "Multi-" and SDI "Single-" Document Interface, AFAIR. In an MDI
applicaton, an application main window contains a child window for each
document opened in the application. With SDI, an independent window
opens for each document, and there is no main application window.

Would these be "normal" Emacs frames like one gets with C-x 5 2? Or are
these frames special in some sense, like a Corfu child frame displaying
completions (possibly with second child frame displaying additional info
for completion candidates), or a Posframe chlid frame displaying a
Transient menu, or somehting like that?
