That's early frazzling out at the edges for me. Making nice to have features essential. Similar for IA-32 -> sofware emulation -> having to fulfill the MPS requirements Pip was talking about. No one looses something compared to today when igc doesn't support IA-32, it's optional. My 2 cents of course.
