Depends how you parse the sentence: Emacs also automatically loads all (installed packages) in subsequent Emacs sessions vs Emacs also automatically loads all (installed packages in previous Emacs sessions) but in the second case you'd rather write it Emacs also automatically loads all packages installed in previous Emacs sessions so I think "subsequent" was not a typo.
