Should it be? To the extent that it is only used during bootstrap, it's not very useful to compile it, indeed. But it's harmless, so I think it's better to leave it like this than to try and avoid compiling it. I guess we could move those bootstrap files out of `lisp` into their own dedicated "bootstrap directory", but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. Stefan
