I can't make install on Ubuntu, due to the following error:
cedet/ede.el:1474:1:Error: Symbol's function definition is void:

My mistake. I got out of the habit of doing that because it takes so
long, and this is the first time it has bit me. Is there a more
incremental way? When I want to check out alternate revisions I tend
to not want to recompile *everything*.

Actually, when the error is so late in the compilation, bootstrap is
usually not needed. In this particular case, "make -k; make" seemed to
solve the problem for me.
