Thanks. The patch looks OK, pretty much along the lines of what
I'd expected. [ Modulo some confusion between "-unmapped" and
"-daemon" and I'm not sure what it means to completely eliminate the
call to frame-initialize. ]

I'd rather leave it for 23.2.
