A really big thank you to Glenn for taking care of the release process. A really big thank you to the many contributors. Apparently, Glenn didn't find it fun enough, so we're looking for someone else to take care of the release process next time around (whether that will be 24.5 or 25.1). It doesn't require a lot of work, but it takes a fair it of care to get things just right, and some experience with our coding and commit practices is definitely helpful. Also, next time around, we'll try to clarify who is allowed to commit to the release branch when, and appoint someone as "veto in chief" (ideally the same person as the one who takes care of the rest of the release process).
