Agreed. Given such a restriction, it would make more sense to do the conversion directly while recording the macro (so you either record a "keyboard macro" (the old thingy) or a "command macro" (the new thingy)). One advantage of this approach is that it makes it OK if it behaves a bit differently than keyboard macros, since it's a different beast. Stefan
