The next International Lisp Conference will take place in summer 2014 in
Montreal. IIUC this has traditionally been a conference oriented mostly
towards "industry" and Common-Lisp, but they're looking for suggestions
of co-located workshops.
I think it would be great to submit a proposal for an Emacs/Elisp
workshop there. Any takers?

What kinds of topics would a workshop like that cover? Infrastructure
like EIEIO and the new cl-lib stuff?

That's one option I guess (should also include things like Semantic).
But contacting the ILC organizers should give you a better idea of what
they're most likely to be interested in.

Quoting https://twitter.com/ilc2014/status/400083693361836033

"Please mark your calendars for August 14-17 (Thursday through
Sunday) at University of Montreal, for International Lisp Conference
  2014."

Well, I'd love to attend and/or contribute, probably with something
about Org-mode, but can't make sure I'll be there.

The web pages for the conference last year are actually generated using
org-mode.

A talk on nrepl might be of interested as well, cause it involves lisp
on both sides.

Right, but for now the issue is to find someone to help organize
the workshop.
